PepsiCo ready to invest in Andhra Pradesh.

AP CM CBN’s meeting with PepsiCo chairman Ms. Indra Nooyi proves successful.

CBN met Ms. Indra Nooyi and explained the tremendous potential that the new State of Andhra Pradesh presented. PepsiCo has evinced interest in setting up mango-pulp units in the State. The FMCG giant is also interested in procuring agriculture produce from the State in huge quantities. PepsiCo is also keen to take up packaging and branding of Coconut water in Konaseema.


Highlights of the meetings:

· To encourage coconut farmers in Konaseema, PepsiCo has evinced interest in packaging and branding tender coconut water

· PepsiCo is keen to purchase jowar, papaya, banana and other agri and horticulture produce and has agreed to buy 70 million tonnes mango pulp - the total production in the State

· PepsiCo has come forward to set up mango-pulp units in Chittoor, Krishna and Godavari districts

· As part of its CSR initiatives, PepsiCo will support Andhra Pradesh in its digital literacy programme


Ms. Indra Nooyi will visit Andhra Pradesh in March to finalize PepsiCo’s collaboration with CBN’s Government.
